Social/Emotional Skills & Support: Understanding & Using the Minnesota Student Survey Results
Partner For Student Success, along with St. Cloud State University, will host a session, led by Dr. Michael Rodriguez*, about the Minnesota Student Survey (MSS), which provides information on the developmental skills and supports of Minnesota youth. A 2016 profile of Minnesota youth tells a story of developmental skills and supports across racial and ethnic communities, indicating that diverse youth have the social and emotional capacity to succeed.
Revealing a new profile of youth developmental skills and supports will allow us to create a new model to help all youth overcome persistent challenges. In this session, we will explore profiles of development, developmental supports, and developmental challenges. We will then discuss how schools and community organizations can use this information to support the positive development of all youth.
